Starry, do you remember your number from 60 to 69?

Let us revise them!

60-61-62-63-64-65-66-67-68 and 69

Today, Starry, we will learn about the number that comes after 69.

It’s is the number 7 and 0, 70. It spells s-e-v-e-n-t-y, 70

Now look at these garlands of flowers Starry!

They are 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 flowers in each garland.

And there are 1 tens +1 tens +1 tens +1 tens +1 tens +1 tens +1 tens +1 tens flowers.  That’s 7 tens, 70 flowers.

Now suppose I add a singular flower to these 7 garland, I get 7 tens 1 which is 71, s-e-v-e-n-t-y o-n-e, 71.

On adding 2 flowers we get 7 tens 2 that 72, s-e-v-e-n-t-y t-w-o,72.

When 1-2-3 flowers are added to the 7 garlands it’s formed 7 tens 3 which is 73, s-e-v-e-n-t-y t-h-r-e-e, 73.

Now 7 tens plus 1-2-3-4, gives us 7 tens 4 which is the number 74, s-e-v-e-n-t-y f-o-u-r, 74.

And 7 garlands plus 5 flowers it’s 7 tens 5 which form the number 75, s-e-v-e-n-t-y f-i-v-e.

On adding 1 more flower, now look Starry, we get 7 garlands plus 6 flowers that 7 tens 6 which is the number 76, s-e-v-e-n-t-y s-i-x, 76.

Now 7 garlands plus 7 flowers is 7 tens 7 that is 77, s-e-v-e-n-t-y s-e-v-e-n, 77.

Starry, here are 7 garlands plus 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8 flowers that’s 7 tens 8, 78, s-e-v-e-n-t-y e-i-g-h-t, 78.

And finally, 7 garlands and 9 flowers that’s 7 tens 9, 79, s-e-v-e-n-t-y n-i-n-e, 79.

Now Starry, let’s count in the ascending order  from the smallest to the biggest.

70-71-72-73-74-75-76-77-78-79.

And again Starry in the descending order from the biggest to the smallest. We go!

79-78-77-76-75-74-73-72-72-71and 70.

Now let’s do an activity together all the number from 70 to 79.

Identify the number and write the number name.

Shall we begin Starry!

7 and 8 that 78, s-e-v-e-n-t-y e-i-g-h-t

7 and 1 71, s-e-v-e-n-t-y o-n-e         

7 and 5, 75, s-e-v-e-n-t-y f-i-v-e

7 and 3 that 73, s-e-v-e-n-t-y t-h-r-e-e

7 and 9, 79, s-e-v-e-n-t-y n-i-n-e

7 and 2, 72, s-e-v-e-n-t-y t-w-o

And 7 and 0 that 70, s-e-v-e-n-t-y

In this activity Starry, you have to circle the bigger number.
let's begin.

7 tens 3 and 7 tens 5, 
now Starry, 7 tens 3 is 73 and 7 tens 5 is 75.
So the bigger number is 75, 7 tens 5.

7 tens 8 and 7 tens 9, 7 tens 8 is 78 and 7 tens 9 is 79. 
The bigger number Starry is 79, 7 tens 9.

74 and 76, the bigger number is 76.

72 and 70, the bigger number is 72.

7 tens 6 and 7 tens 3, here Starry, 7 tens 6 is 76 and 7 tens 3 is 73 the bigger number is 76.

And in this last activity, Starry all the numbers are jumble up, we have to put them in the correct serial order.

Let’s begin with 70 then we have 71-72 and 73 next is 74 -75-76-77-78 and 79.
