Improper fractions.

Improper  fractions have  the numerators that are larger than or equal to the  denominators.

 11 / 4    5 over 5  and 13 / 2 are some improper fractions .

Let 's look at an example.

This hexagon has seven pieces .

Hence  this fraction will be written as 7 over 6.

So we see that the numerator is greater than the denominator
